We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Technical Specialist Contractor with robust technical expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced desktop support environment. This role, based at our manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, NC, will report directly to me and focus on providing exceptional support to our end users. The position requires collaboration with multiple teams, including engineering, production, and office departments, to address their PC-related needs effectively.
Ideal candidates should have a deep understanding of PC operating systems, wired and wireless networking, peripheral device support, and advanced software troubleshooting. This is a 90-day contract position, with no intention of transitioning into a permanent role. Please submit the two most qualified candidates for consideration. Rate requirements are not specified, as they will be evaluated based on regional standards.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot PC hardware and software applications for associates
- Provide support for Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 11 and Windows 10, and Microsoft applications in a corporate environment.
- Offer support for iOS devices, such as iPads, iPhones, and Mac computers.
- Assist with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wireless Networks, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 applications and demonstrate knowledge of Intune.
- Provide mobile device support.
- Utilize Jira for issue tracking and trend analysis to recommend proactive solutions for reducing recurring problems.
- Identify and address potential customer service challenges.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and customer service.
- Contribute to projects and provide input for global standardization initiatives.
- Provide support for SAP, VPN, Two-Factor Authentication, software deployment tools, and PC encryption technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of PC imaging processes and software deployment tools.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PC support.
