Accounts Payable Specialist/Lead POST NUMBER: 432633
Job Summary:
Vaco has partnered with a distribution company and they have an opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist to handle invoicing and A/P accounting. This role will involve some accounting such as general ledger processing, and debit/credits. Experience with Microsoft excel is desired.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounts Payablle data entry clerk
- Vendor Invoice vouchering of product and non-product related invoices.
- Analytics and Research relating to issues that arise with variances on these invoices.
- Liaison with vendors
- Process payments to vendors utilizing check runs, credit cards, and application of credits on account.
- Enter all payments into ERP,
- Reviewing Account Payable aging.
- Setting up new Vendors and Validation process.
- Review and research eligible credits to vendors.
- Customer Sales Invoicing, emailing or mailing the invoices based on customer direction
- General ledger accounting
Work Experience/Education:
- Associates degree at minimum or equivalent with either Business or Accounting concentration.
- Has experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and some General Ledger knowledge would be appreciated.
- Experience with MS Excel
- Must have excellent communication
Job Requirements
- Hours requirement at minimum are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
- Overtime may be required based on business need.
- May require travel.
