IT Operations Systems Engineer POST NUMBER: 434177
Key Responsibilities:
Functional:
- Provide technical leadership, hands-on implementation, and troubleshooting for complex infrastructure and day-to-day IT operations.
- Quickly assess and escalate technical concerns when necessary.
- Troubleshoot issues systematically, document problems, and proactively address system vulnerabilities.
- Implement solutions to ensure all IT products and services meet organizational standards and user needs.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Develop IT standards and procedures.
- Participate in IT security assessments, risk analysis, and reporting.
- Respond to inquiries regarding IT policies, practices, and standards.
- Resolve system issues and ensure the security of information systems assets.
- Balance business needs with other concerns and communicate issues to management.
- Create and document standard configurations, build/support processes, and FAQs.
- Act as a technical resource or liaison between IT and other departments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Compliance:
- Demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to all applicable compliance requirements and regulations, including federal and state guidelines.
- Communicate compliance requirements to staff and escalate concerns as necessary.
Work Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of experience in:
- Supporting hybrid IT operations.
- Implementing and migrating enterprise systems to cloud providers.
- Supporting Windows Server environments.
- Managing virtual environments, infrastructure devices, and cloud services.
- 2 years of experience with enterprise monitoring solutions, storage technologies, and Azure services.
- 1 year of experience with Intune, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python), and SSO solutions.
- Strong time management, technical troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Ability to work in an on-call rotation.
Preferred Requirements:
- Certifications such as MCSE, AZ-104, or similar.
- Experience with business continuity planning, ITIL frameworks, and managed security services.
Work Environment:
- Full-time remote position with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.
- Requires a home office setup with a high-speed internet connection.
