Purchasing Coordinator/Specialist - 9 Months POST NUMBER: 439302

• Placing and tracking purchase orders for raw materials, packaging supplies and ingredients,.
• Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, supplier details, and delivery schedules
• Resolve supplier-related issues
• Coordinate inbound shipments to align with production timelines
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment
• Oversee relationships with transportation providers, negotiating competitive rates
• Address logistics challenges, including delays, damages, or claims, to maintain operational continuity.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, invoices, and proofs of delivery.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper storage/transportation standards.
• Generate and share reports on purchasing, inventory, and logistics metrics to support organizational decision-making.
• Assist with vendor qualification processes, ensuring all suppliers meet company standards and certifications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as production, quality assurance, and finance to align supply chain activities with business objectives.

• 2 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain
• Proficiency in inventory management systems (Sage) and intermediate-advanced Excel, comfortable in a manual environment
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a very strong asset
