Leadership & Team Development
- Provide visionary leadership to elevate the organization's fundraising capabilities, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to inspire, mentor, and manage a high-performing development team while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Recruit, cultivate, and retain top-tier fundraising talent, creating a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Engage and mobilize board members and executives to play an active role in fundraising efforts, maximizing their contributions and impact.
- Serve as a key advisor in executive decision-making, integrating fundraising goals with broader organizational strategies and priorities.
Strategic Fundraising & Execution
- Design and execute a comprehensive, data-driven fundraising strategy that supports long-term growth and sustainability.
- Oversee and enhance signature fundraising events (including two major annual events and monthly engagement tours) to expand donor engagement and attract new supporters.
- Diversify revenue streams by leveraging major gifts, annual giving, corporate and foundation grants, planned giving, board giving, and special events.
- Lead high-impact fundraising campaigns, incorporating personalized donor engagement, corporate partnerships, and digital fundraising initiatives to drive philanthropic growth.
- Utilize data analytics and donor research to refine engagement strategies, ensuring optimal fundraising outcomes and increased donor retention.
Financial Planning & Budget Oversight
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and manage the fund development budget, setting ambitious yet achievable revenue goals.
- Monitor financial performance, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with fundraising targets.
- Analyze fundraising data to make informed decisions, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
