Interim Controller (Part-Time | Contract)
Hours: 15–20/week | Potential to convert to full-time W2

Vaco is partnering with a mission-driven private equity firm to hire an Interim Controller who will support fund and corporate accounting, reporting, and Carta management. This is a high-impact role with the potential to grow into a long-term leadership position.

Must-Haves:

• CPA with a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 8 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in PE, VC, or family office

• Direct experience with SPVs, multi-entity structures, and partnership accounting

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, capital account mechanics, and tax reporting

• Proficient in Carta, QuickBooks Online, and Google Workspace

• Based in Texas and available for occasional in-person meetings in San Antonio

• Strong communicator with leadership experience and cross-functional collaboration skills
