Our client, an asset management firm based in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join their Corporate Accounting team.

Location:
San Francisco, CA. This role is hybrid, with in-office requirements three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Job Description:
The Corporate Accounting Associate is responsible for the Accounts Payable and assisting with multiple ad hoc projects, such as month-end close and audits. The position works closely with key stakeholders across the organization and reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end financial reporting tasks related to accounts payable & receivable, expense management, fixed asset reporting, and cash & deposit accounts.
- Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations and other general ledger reconciliations.
- Maintain and monitor SOX controls related to the general ledger, ensuring compliance and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with expense reporting and capitalization policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen controls.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of operational accounting experience, ideally in investment or asset management.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience applying accounting standards.
- Hands-on experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, SAP Concur, BILL.com) and intermediate Excel skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
