Vaco is partnering with a mid-sized manufacturing organization seeking an Interim Finance Director to oversee all core finance and accounting operations. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that will partner closely with executive leadership and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all core finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning & analysis.

Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls across multiple business entities.

Oversee accounting operations: general ledger, AP/AR, inventory, costing, revenue recognition, expense reporting, and payroll approval.

Prepare, review, and consolidate financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Drive month-end close, variance analysis, cost analysis, and budget performance.

Manage treasury functions including cash management, intercompany funding, and banking relationships.

Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to accounting team members (both local and remote).

Travel periodically to an acquired entity to implement processes, establish controls, and support integration efforts.

Partner with global leadership to align on reporting requirements and expectations.

Be willing to roll up your sleeves — supporting day-to-day functions as needed in a lean environment.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA required).

Proven experience in international finance within a manufacturing environment.

Strong background in leadership roles with the ability to mentor and develop teams.

Demonstrated ability to establish structure and processes in newly acquired or evolving business units.

Hands-on approach with flexibility to step in and support tactical needs.

Willingness to travel periodically for short site visits.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
