About the Role

A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join its dynamic finance team. This individual will play a key role in guiding financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Reporting to the VP of Finance and/or CFO, the Director of FP&A will lead the financial planning process, oversee key analytical initiatives, and provide insights that drive operational efficiency and long-term growth. This position requires strong communication skills, proven leadership experience, and a deep understanding of financial and operational metrics within the healthcare industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling

  • Conduct detailed financial and operational analyses to support strategic initiatives and executive decision-making

  • Lead revenue audits, valuations, and ad-hoc analyses to identify trends and improvement opportunities

  • Present financial results, projections, and insights to senior leadership in a clear and actionable manner

  • Manage and mentor FP&A team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment

  • Ensure alignment between financial objectives and organizational goals through effective communication and strategic partnership

  • Leverage healthcare finance knowledge to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain standardized reporting tools and dashboards to support management oversight


Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years in finance, accounting, or a related field

  • At least 3 years in a financial leadership or managerial capacity

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline required

  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA or related field)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex financial information for diverse audiences

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet critical deadlines

  • Familiarity with healthcare industry concepts, financial systems, and terminology preferred
