About the Role
This is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity for a finance leader who thrives in early-stage, high-growth environments. The Head of Accounting will build the company’s finance function from first principles, designing the systems, processes, and insights required to support rapid scale and global operations.
This role serves as the company’s first dedicated accounting and finance hire, requiring someone senior enough to architect the function and pragmatic enough to execute at a detailed level. You view finance not as a back-office necessity, but as a strategic enabler of execution, visibility, and growth.
The ideal candidate is energized by building from scratch, implementing structure without bureaucracy, and taking full ownership in a low-ego, high-accountability environment.
What You’ll Own
Finance & Accounting Infrastructure

Design, implement, and own the full finance and accounting stack, including general ledger, payroll, payments, and expense management systems

Establish scalable processes, controls, and documentation that support growth without slowing execution
Close & Financial Reporting

Own the month-end close and financial reporting process across all entities

Partner closely with external accountants to ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial statements
Cash Management, Forecasting & Treasury

Manage cash flow, forecasting, and treasury operations

Provide leadership with clear, real-time visibility into performance, burn, and runway
Metrics, Dashboards & Insights

Develop and track key financial and operational metrics

Build dashboards and reporting that translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership and strategic decision-making
Global & Regulatory Coordination

Support U.S. and European operations by coordinating with external advisors on tax, accounting, and local statutory requirements

Ensure compliance as the company scales internationally
Process Improvement & Automation

Continuously identify opportunities to automate and improve financial workflows

Implement systems and controls that increase speed, accuracy, and scalability
Skills & Experience
-
6 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, ideally combining public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) with hands-on experience at a high-growth, VC-backed technology company

Strong command of U.S. GAAP; IFRS experience is a plus

Proven ability to build finance systems and processes from the ground up in a fast-moving environment

Experience supporting multi-entity and cross-border operations

Comfortable operating autonomously in a fully remote, distributed organization

Detail-oriented, rigorous, and execution-focused, with strong judgment and prioritization skills
