Position Summary

Operating under the strategic direction of the Assistant Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant serves as a technical subject matter expert for the organization’s financial ecosystem. This role is responsible for the integrity of the general ledger, the optimization of accounting workflows, and the delivery of high-impact financial reporting. The Senior Accountant acts as a key advisor to the executive team, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, mitigate financial waste, and enhance overall fiscal efficiency. This position offers a deep-dive into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and cross-border financial management.

Core Responsibilities

  • Financial Integrity: Orchestrate daily general ledger activities to guarantee the precision and timeliness of organizational financial reporting.

  • Treasury Oversight: Execute complex bank reconciliations, verify multi-channel deposits, and manage high-level institutional banking inquiries.

  • Strategic Period Close: Drive the month-end closing process through the preparation of advanced journal entries, expense accruals, and comprehensive account analysis.

  • Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee multi-jurisdictional indirect tax compliance (Domestic and International), including the rigorous analysis, preparation, and filing of regional returns.

  • Cost Management & Analysis: Conduct granular cost accounting by benchmarking actual expenditures against forecast budgets. Analyze labor, process, and inventory costs to identify variances.

  • Process Optimization: Proactively propose and implement profit-improvement solutions and cost-reduction strategies to bolster the bottom line.

  • Audit & Control: Ensure all financial activities remain strictly compliant with evolving regulatory standards and internal controls.

Key Qualifications

  • Academic Excellence: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required.

  • Professional Tenure: 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Tier-1 ERP systems and advanced financial software is required.

  • Analytical Pedigree: Strong background in auditing practices or public accounting is a significant plus.

  • Core Competencies: A results-driven mindset with the ability to manage complex financial data, collaborate across departments, and provide clear, actionable insights to leadership.
