Our client is sourcing a Corporate FP&A Consultant for a 12-month contract.

About the Opportunity
Financial Review & Close Support:

• Review financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis to ensure expenses are appropriately recorded across departments and accounts relative to plans and forecasts.
• Work closely with the accounting team to support journal entries, adjustments, and accruals as required.
• Provide analysis and explanations for financial variances compared with budgets and forecasts for leadership review.

• Prepare recurring financial reports including income statement summaries, balance sheet analysis, cash flow information, key performance metrics, and variance commentary.
• Contribute to materials and presentations used for internal management discussions.
• Develop additional reporting and analytical tools to support evolving business requirements.

• Produce periodic financial review packages to support operational leadership.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis related to staffing costs, workforce planning, and operating expenditures.

• Assist in preparing regular financial forecasts related to compensation, staffing levels, and departmental expenses.
• Review actual financial performance and provide recommendations for forecast adjustments where needed.
• Support the development of annual planning processes in collaboration with senior stakeholders and functional teams.
• Build analytical models to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within financial results.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis through automation and advanced data tools.
• Support efforts to standardize financial reporting practices across the organization.
• Provide suggestions for process improvements that enhance the speed and quality of financial insights.

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting designation.
• Several years of experience in financial planning and analysis, including some leadership or supervisory exposure.
• Strong analytical and modelling capabilities using advanced spreadsheet tools and business intelligence platforms.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and present insights clearly.
