HR Generalist

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Contract HR Generalist to support the Human Resources team with day-to-day HR operations, onboarding, and employee administration. This role will work closely with the HR Business Partner to ensure a smooth employee experience and consistent execution of HR processes across assigned business units.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys a hands-on role focused on onboarding, employee support, and HR operations. Experience with Workday is strongly preferred.

Note: This role does not include compensation or benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of new hire onboarding
• Prepare offer and onboarding documentation and ensure completion of employment paperwork
• Maintain employee records and process changes including promotions, transfers, and reporting updates
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR questions
• Provide guidance on company policies and procedures
• Support employee relations activities, including PIPs, disciplinary meetings, and terminations
• Participate in employee relations meetings and document outcomes
• Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback summaries
• Review and resolve payroll-related discrepancies involving timecards and PTO
• Generate HR reports and maintain data accuracy within HR systems
• Assist with special projects and other HR initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of HR experience in a generalist or coordinator capacity
• Strong experience with onboarding and HR administration
• Employee relations experience preferred
• Experience with Workday strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

Preferred Background

• Experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or other fast-paced environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
