HVAC Installation Technician
Experience Necessary, Experience Level, Knowledge Required
- A High School Diploma or equivalent;
- This position requires 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience is required
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with a handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad);
Duties & Responsibilities
- Installation of light commercial rooftop units, curb adapters, split systems and ducting.
- Installations that include reconnecting gas and electric to new equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Have a basic understanding of hand and power tools, their uses and how to use them safely.
- Have a basic understanding of operation, service and maintenance of standard light commercial HVAC systems.
- Be able to follow instructions and complete work as planned in a timely manner.
- Have the ability to solder and braze.
- Have certification and ability to properly recover refrigerant charge from refrigeration circuit.
- Be able to read and comprehend basic blueprints.
- Have basic sheet metal skills.
- Communicate and work well with co-workers and customers.
- Take pride in work and also, keep in mind attention to detail.
- Mechanical abilities to problem solve and properly perform a solution to the problem.
- Be a team player with other co-workers and support them when needed.
Physical Requirements
- You must have the ability to perform (SAFELY) heavy lifting.
- Ability to climb and negotiate ladders and scaffolds.
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

Requirements
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Valid Driver’s License with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUI’s in the previous 5 years.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
