| Associate Vice President, Development Location: Association Office Reports to: Chief Financial Officer FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Range: $87,454 - $98,386 About the Position Join the YMCA as our next Associate Vice President of Development and help build the relationships that build stronger communities. You’ll advance fundraising strategy and growth across the region, while cultivating major donors whose dreams align with our mission. From capital campaigns to transformational community initiatives, you’ll secure and steward the investments that make lasting impact. If you believe authentic relationships drive change, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose and heart. Key Responsibilities: Lead bold fundraising that fuels community impact. You’ll grow major gifts and partnerships, while securing multi-year, multi-million investments from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government. Oversee donor relations, grants, and campaigns that advance the Y’s mission. Build and manage a high-performing team, strengthen systems for prospecting and stewardship, and champion collaboration across departments. As a key ambassador, you’ll tell the Y’s story, inspire giving, and ensure every dollar drives measurable change. Qualifications: You’re a strategic relationship-builder who knows how to turn vision into impact. You possess a Bachelor's Degree in nonprofit management, business administration, public policy, communications, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and progressive leadership experience in fundraising, public affairs, or strategic communications. Ideally, you bring 7–10 years of success leading fundraising strategy, securing major gifts, and managing high-value portfolios. You’ve built and coached strong teams, crafted compelling messages, and moved big ideas forward with partners across sectors. You’re data-savvy, creative, and confident engaging executives, donors, and community leaders alike. Work Environment & Physical DemandsThis position is primarily office-based with frequent local travel for meetings, site visits, and events. It involves extended periods of sitting, working at a computer, and communicating by phone or video. Occasional lifting or moving materials (up to 25 pounds) may be needed for special events or presentations. The role requires comfort engaging with people in varied settings, including boardrooms, community centers, and fundraising venues alike. Some evenings and weekends are required for donor meetings and events.
